.The room was average with a very soft bed.
The location is quite far away from the center. There is no elevator and we carried our laggage manually

Nothing, for that reason I cancelled de second day. This hotel has only 2 stars. No 4 star how it say that has.

We liked the very spacious room, wonderful breakfasts with a wide choice of food, helpful and polite staff, despite the language barrier, convenient location for both public transport and within walking distance of local amenities and visitor attractions. The hotel staff also organised transfers to and from Catania airport very efficiently.

The staff was very kind, knowledgable about the city, and helpful. The breakfast buffé was surprisingly varied (according to italian standards).

The staff were very good and helpful with a map and suggested places to visit. Recommended some good places to eat for lunch and dinner. Hotel, while not on Ortigia was well located between the island and the archaeology site so walking to either was quite easy, especially since we did not have a car. Also close to the train and bus station.
Would have been nice to have a better place to set up our laptop. There was a desk in the corner of the room, but the fridge was set up under it.

The minute we walked into the room we could smell mold and humidity. The walls were covered with it. The hotel is attached to some restaurant/bar which seems to stay open quite late as we did not sleep at all that night. People were pouring out of the bar drunk others stayed under our windows to talk, shout, keep drinking and smoke. The next day the street was litered with bottles and glasses. We even found some on the roof of our car! It might have been just a one off night, of the sort, but I would not rush back.

Fantastic small hotel. Very spacious and well appointed rooms and bath with good wi-fi, and quiet neiborhood. Very helpful staff with a nice breakfast, five minutes walking to Ortigia, two minutes to the train and bus stations and about twenty minutes walk to the archeological park. All for a spectacularly low price.
It was great.

The breakfast in the court yard is a real plus. Very friendly and helpful staff. The location is very central, close to the island, the bus station and the archeological sites.
The white glass window is a bity claustrofobic, but understandeble.
